As a company we are committed to sourcing our range of products from legal and well managed, sustainable forest resources. We will collaborate with all relevant parties both within the United Kingdom and overseas to ensure compliance with, and to promote good forest management. We are members of "Forest Forever" – the environmental division of the Timber Trade Federation working to safeguard the world's forests and future timber supplies. For example we are now concentrating heavily on Chinese production of the tropical hardwood faced Poplar plywood consisting of a combination of Chinese plantation Poplar core material and imported tropical hardwood face and back. The graph detailed below clearly demonstrates and compares the high content of plantation Poplar compared to the relatively low content of tropical hardwood in each individual thickness. We are also making further advances in respect of plywood manufactured in China using 100% indigenous plantation species comprising Poplar cores with either Poplar or Birch face and back.
